IVCCD and University of Iowa announce Nursing Partnership

Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD) and the University of Iowa (UI) will be finalizing a new partnership agreement allowing IVCCD nursing graduates to seamlessly transfer to the UI College of Nursing to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees, during a formal signing ceremony on Monday, May 23 2022, 2 p.m., at DeJardin Hall on IVCCD’s Marshalltown campus.

With this new agreement in place, students may attend IVCCD to complete the licensed practical nursing and registered nursing programs and then transfer to the UI College of Nursing online RN-BSN program for one additional year of college to earn their BSN.

A great benefit to this online option is that IVCCD’s nursing graduates will be able to stay in their communities and work as registered nurses while completing their bachelor’s degrees.

This event is open to the public. Representatives from the UI College of Nursing and IVCCD and community partners, alumni, and healthcare partners will be on-hand. Refreshments will be served.
