IVCCD Board Approved Plans for Esports Management Software Upgrades

MARSHALLTOWN –The IVCCD Board of Directors approved plans to contract with ggCircuit, a service provider that specializes in Esports Management software. The service agreement will provide a way to keep the academic and gaming software separate, reducing enterprise-level security concerns. The agreement will include hardware, software, servers, operating systems, and regular gaming updates.

Board Approved Contract with Area School Districts

The Board approved the concurrent enrollment contracts between IVCCD and four area high schools: AGWSR, BGM, Grinnell Newburg, and West Marshall school districts to provide summer courses for college credit and/or courses for the 2022-23 academic year. The summer courses will be on a Healthcare track and feature three classes: Nutrition, Medical Terminology, and Human Growth and Development.

Board Approved Contract with Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center in Eldora

The Board approved a new contract with Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center in Eldora to provide HSED education and testing for juveniles at its newly expanded facility.

Board Approved Fee Increases

The Board approved program fee increases for the 2022-23 academic year. These increases will cover increased costs for class materials for several academic programs.

 

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. and will be held via Zoom.
