Here, you'll find details about our tuition, fees, and on-campus living expenses for both Marshalltown Community College (MCC) and Ellsworth Community College (ECC).

It considers factors like family income, household size, and other financial details to provide an estimate of your net price after potential scholarships, grants, and other financial aid are applied.

For 19 or more credit hours, Iowa Residents add $210 tuition and a $26 institutional fee for each additional credit hour. Audit tuition is the same as credit tuition. For 19 or more credit hours, Non-Iowa Residents add $252 tuition and a $26 institutional fee for each additional credit hour. Audit tuition is the same as credit tuition. On-Campus Housing & Food Service

Living on campus offers convenience, community, and countless opportunities to connect! Considering housing and meal plan costs is an important step, and we aim to make the process clear and straightforward. Costs can vary slightly by campus, and we’ve provided a detailed breakdown below.

MCC provides comfortable on-campus housing to enhance your college experience. All students living on campus are required to select a meal plan of 18 meals per week for $2,750 per year.

Housing Options (per year):

  • Single Occupancy: $6,900
  • Double Occupancy: $5,300
  • Triple Occupancy: $4,400

Handicap-accessible rooms are available with 30 days advance notice for special arrangements.

Extended Stay Accommodations (summer break): $20 per day with approved extended stay application.

Food Service (Meal Plan):

Pre- and Post-Semester Rate (2 meals/day): $15.64 per day
Pre- and Post-Semester Rate (3 meals/day): $18.97 per day
Commuter Student Meal Plan (5 meals/week): $528 per semester

ECC offers a variety of residence hall options to suit your needs. A meal plan of 19 meals per week is required for all students living on campus, costing $2,750 per year.

Housing Options (per semester):

Thompson Hall:

  • $2,030 (double room)
  • $2,650 (single room)

Lloyd Hall:

  • $2,447.50 (double room)
  • $3,062.50 (single room)

College Apartments:

  • $2,650 (shared bedroom only)

College Suites:

  • $2,907.50 (double bedroom)
  • $3,475 (single room).

A limited number (3) of single suites are available for $3,375 per semester.

Costs to Stay on Campus During Breaks:

  • Winter Break (open only to international students): $450
  • Spring Break: $450

Food Service Visitor/Commuter Rates:

  • Breakfast: $5.75
  • Lunch: $7.60
  • Dinner: $8.85
  • Special Meals: $9.25
  • 10-Meal Punch Card: $70.25 plus tax
