Customized Training for Your Business

Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions (BCS) builds customized training programs to strengthen employee skills, improve productivity, and meet your workforce goals.

Every business faces unique challenges, and off-the-shelf training doesn't always cut it. BCS works directly with Central Iowa employers to design customized employee training programs that address your specific workforce needs.

Whether you're onboarding new team members, upskilling experienced employees, or preparing your workforce for what's next, we're here to help you take your business to the next level.

How Customized Training Works

It starts with a conversation. We sit down with you to understand your business, your employees, and the skills gaps you're looking to close. From there, our team designs a training plan tailored to your operations. Training can be delivered on-site at your facility, at our conference center in Marshalltown, or in a combination that works for your schedule.

Why Choose BCS for Customized Training?

  • Boost Employee Skills: Our programs provide your team with the essential training and education needed to excel in their roles.
  • Increase Productivity: Enhance your organization's efficiency and output through targeted skill development.
  • Flexible and Relevant: Training is available in many areas and can be developed specifically around your business's goals and challenges.
  • Expert Instructors: Our trainers include experienced industry professionals and Iowa Valley training specialists, ensuring high-quality, real-world instruction.

Workforce Training Funding Available

Training is an investment, and Iowa offers programs to help offset the cost.

  • Training for New Employees (260E) — The Industrial New Jobs Training Program helps businesses that are expanding their workforce by providing funding to train new hires. We partner with you to assess your specific training needs and determine the appropriate resources.
  • Training for Current Staff (260F) — The Iowa Jobs Training Program provides resources to help you upskill your existing employees. We partner with you to assess your specific training needs and determine the appropriate resources.

BCS manages the entire process — from application to training plan development — so you can focus on running your business.
