MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Marshalltown Community College will serve as a host site for RAGBRAI LIII on Wednesday, July 22, as thousands of cyclists pass through Marshalltown on the 391-mile ride across Iowa.
MCC has partnered with Pork Belly Ventures, a longtime RAGBRAI charter and support outfitter, to provide overnight accommodations for the company's riders during the overnight stop. Pork Belly Ventures has supported RAGBRAI participants since 1994, offering services that include showers, luggage transport, and camp support for cyclists making the weeklong trip.
“Just as RAGBRAI is a journey, our community colleges in Marshalltown, Iowa Falls, and Grinnell help our students keep moving forward, whatever road they're on." said Dr. Anne Howsare Boyens, IVCCD President.
RAGBRAI, the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is the largest and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world, drawing riders from across the country and internationally. The 2026 route runs from Onawa to Dubuque, July 18–25.
Marshalltown Community College is one of three colleges in the Iowa Valley Community College District, which also includes Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls and Iowa Valley Grinnell.
