Entry-level positions with independent producers, small production companies, large corporations, and allied industries offer excellent pay and unlimited opportunities for advancement. Site and department managers oversee daily operations, and strong animal husbandry skills are key to success. 

Our program prepares students for employment as general managers, herdsmen, or managers of specific swine units like breeding, farrowing, nursery, or finishing. You'll also explore other specialized careers involving the management, production, and marketing of swine. In addition to technical agriculture subjects in both crop and livestock production, you'll gain valuable mechanical skills and farm business management expertise.
