Easy Enrollment

Enrolling at Ellsworth Community College (ECC) is designed to be simple and stress-free. We've streamlined our process so you can focus on what matters most: your education.

Here's how to get started:

Apply

  • Our application is quick, free, and completely online, with no application fee!
  • Whether you're taking a few classes to transfer or simply for personal interest, this online application is all you need for admission.
  • Note: If you're from outside Iowa and enrolling exclusively for ECC online classes, or if you're an international student, the process looks a bit different. Learn more on our Online/Distance Learning page and International Students page.

  • Required if: You plan to complete an ECC diploma or degree program, and/or you're applying for any financial aid.
  • High School/HSED: If you're currently enrolled in high school, just ask your guidance office to send us a 6th or 7th-semester transcript and arrange to have a final transcript sent once you graduate.
  • College Transcripts: We'll need an official transcript from each college you've previously attended, complete with that college's seal. Your previous college can send these directly to our admissions office. We'll look over your previous transcripts and apply any coursework related to your Ellsworth degree!

No ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER, or ASSET scores required for admission! While you don't need to submit test scores to apply, they can be helpful for placing you in the right Math and English courses. If you have scores, feel free to send them along, but it’s not a requirement—your success is our priority, and we’ll work with you to ensure you’re placed in the best courses for your goals!
