Seamless Transfer to Iowa's Regent Universities

IVCCD offers a specialized Admissions Partnership Program (APP) designed to facilitate seamless transfers to Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, or the University of Northern Iowa. This program is essential for students planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree, helping them effectively build their long-term collegiate educational path from day one.

The APP formalizes an early transfer connection and helps students proactively understand their educational needs. Early planning and consistent communication with your academic advisor at IVCCD and a transfer counselor at your preferred Regent University are crucial for a smooth transfer process.

  • Academic Advising: Your IVCCD advisor will help you understand course requirements and standards that can be completed or prepared for while working towards your Associate's degree. They will assist with course selection based on your transfer plan and the transfer school's advisor recommendations.
  • Automatic Transcript Sending: IVCCD will automatically send your transcript to the appropriate Regent Admissions office each semester.
  • Admission Starting Point: IVCCD serves as the initial point for admission into the APP program.

  • Guaranteed Admission: Admission to your desired degree program at the Regent University is guaranteed if all program requirements are met.
