We offer free, accessible tutoring and writing support at Ellsworth Community College (ECC) to help you master challenging subjects and improve your writing skills. Our dedicated team is here to guide you every step of the way, helping you build confidence and achieve academic success.

Tutoring Services

Need a deeper understanding of a course concept or help preparing for an exam? Our tutoring services provide personalized assistance to help you succeed.

• Free Peer Tutoring: Get support from fellow ECC students who have successfully completed the courses you're taking.
• Professional Tutors: Access additional expertise from our professional tutoring staff.
• Subject-Specific Help: Tutors are available for a variety of ECC courses.
• Easy Access: Tutoring is primarily offered in The Hub during fall and spring terms. An updated tutor schedule is emailed to all ECC students every Monday morning.
• Early Intervention: We encourage you to seek assistance as soon as you experience difficulty in a course – the sooner, the better!

The Writing Center

Polish your papers and strengthen your writing with expert feedback from The Writing Center. We're here to help you at any stage of the writing process, for any class.

• One-on-One Assistance: Receive individualized guidance on all your writing assignments.
• Support for Every Stage: Get help with brainstorming, outlining, drafting, revising, editing, and citing sources (including MLA basics).
• Convenient Access: Drop-in assistance is often available, or you can schedule an appointment.
• Location: Services are typically provided in the Library.
